How to Make Healthy Asian Sesame Dressing.

A jar of sesame ginger dressing with fresh ginger and sesame seeds

Serves 6–8 · Prep: 5 min

Make It

  1. Add 2 Tbsp toasted sesame oil, 2 Tbsp avocado oil, 2 Tbsp coconut aminos or tamari, 1 Tbsp rice vinegar, 1 tsp fresh grated ginger, 1 small garlic clove minced, and a pinch of sea salt to a jar or small bowl.

  2. Whisk or shake until combined.

  3. Taste and adjust the sesame oil, vinegar or salt.

Notes

  • Toasted sesame oil, not plain. Toasted is what gives the dressing its flavor, and a little goes a long way.

  • Coconut aminos if you are avoiding soy, tamari if you are avoiding gluten.

  • Grate the ginger fresh. Powdered ginger will not give you the same brightness.

  • Shake it before every use. There is no emulsifier holding it together, so it separates in the fridge.

  • Pour it over a No B.S. Salad, a Protein Bowl, or roasted vegetables.

  • Counts as Healthy Fats at 2 Tbsp.
