Build Your Snack

Healthy Fats
1 cup (135g) hazelnuts, plus 12 whole for the centres
2 Tbsp dark chocolate chunks (Hu)

Complex Carbs
2 Tbsp pure maple syrup

Extras
2 Tbsp cacao powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract, a pinch of sea salt

Make It

  1. Add 1 cup of hazelnuts to a food processor and blitz until chopped into tiny pieces.

  2. Add the cacao powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, sea salt and chocolate. Pulse until the mixture starts to stick together. If it is too dry, add 1–2 tsp water.

  3. Roll into 12 bite-size balls and press a whole hazelnut into the centre of each.

  4. Serve, or keep in the fridge.

Make It Your Own

  • Roll them in cacao powder, desiccated coconut, or crushed hazelnuts

  • Swap the hazelnuts for almonds or walnuts

  • A pinch of Ceylon cinnamon or espresso powder in the mix
