How to Bake Perfect Chicken Breast.
Serves: 1-2 · Prep: 5 min · Cook: 18–22 min
Make It
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Pat boneless, skinless chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
Place chicken on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.
Lightly coat with avocado oil spray, then season both sides with sea salt and black pepper.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Remove from the oven and let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Baking at a higher temperature keeps chicken juicy while preventing it from drying out. Avoid overbaking, as chicken breast dries quickly once past 165°F. This method is ideal for batch cooking and meal prep.
For extra flavor, you can add minced garlic, herbs, or a squeeze of lemon during the last few minutes of baking or after removing from the oven.
